Things that go Coloring Pages

Take four different kinds of imaginary journeys with this vehicle pack. A camper van and fire engine fill the road scenes; a sailboat floats on simple waves; and a little steam train sits on its track. The drawings use outlined panels, windows, wheels, and other recognizable details rather than realistic engineering plans. Choose a familiar color scheme or invent a personal fleet with matching colors across all four pages.

Step by step

  1. Open the four-page PDF and select pages. It contains finished artwork, not fillable fields.
  2. On US Letter, use portrait orientation and Actual size/100%. Check the border, title, and footer; choose Fit if printer margins would clip anything.
  3. On A4, choose Fit. The PDF is US Letter, 8.5 by 11 inches, not a separate A4 layout.
  4. Print one physical test before making copies. Grayscale suits the outlines; check margins and lines. Ink use varies.

Page 1: Weekend camper van

The camper van has a rectangular living area, windows, a door, a front cab, a roof rack, and two prominent wheels. Divide the large side panels into a simple two-tone scheme, then add a contrasting color around the windows. You could invent a tiny travel logo inside one clear panel without copying a real brand. Add a road or distant hills lightly in the blank space if you want the van to have a destination.

Page 2: Neighborhood fire engine

The fire engine includes a roof ladder, a side equipment panel with horizontal lines, wheels, and a front cab. Bright red is one choice, but your imaginary neighborhood can have a different color engine. Use a pale shade for the windows so the cab outline stays visible. The equipment panel offers a chance to repeat a two-color sequence in its horizontal sections while keeping the surrounding body a single shade.

Page 3: Sailboat on gentle waves

The sailboat has a central mast, triangular sails, a small flag, a hull with circular portholes, and several wavy water lines. Try one color on each sail and repeat a small accent in the flag. The hull can be darker than the sails to give the composition a clear base. Shade between the wave lines lightly, or leave the water mostly white and concentrate color on the boat.

Page 4: Little steam train

The steam train has a large engine body, a cab with windows, several round wheels, a chimney, and outlined puffs above it. Its track gives the picture a strong horizontal base. Choose a repeated wheel color and a separate shade for the engine panels. The puffs can stay white against a softly colored sky. If you add scenery, keep it behind the train rather than filling the wheel outlines.

Create a travel theme

Decide where each vehicle might go and write the destinations on a separate sheet. A group could use the same three colors on all four vehicles to invent a matching fleet. These are creative scenes, not road-safety instructions or vehicle operating guides. The drawings omit many real mechanical details so the main shapes remain open for coloring.
